The torque chain describes how the ECU builds load and power internally. Driver request, torque model, injection quantity, air mass, boost pressure and limiters depend on each other. If only isolated values are changed, the ECU may work against the modification.
Common patterns are Drivers Wish raised while the torque model was not adjusted consistently, injection quantity raised while limiters remain active, or boost raised while air mass and plausibility do not match. Such cases can lead to rough driving, missing power or limp mode.
